''Introduction''

Hi my name is Roman Komar I’m originally from Ukraine I live in Ireland for 6 years. I’m a second year student in TU Dublin the course I am studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Digital Media.First year in college was very interesting and I discovered a lot of new things for myself throughout the year there was a lot of difficulties I had to face in order to complete the modules especially at the end of second semester when the lockdown happened we had to study remotely and finish all our project’s online which was very difficult to complete online.Summer of 2020 was the worst summer we all had but hopefully all this lockdown and Covid will be over as soon as possible and we all come back to a normal life.I absolutely love listening to music because it relaxes me and helps me to concentrate and sometimes even motivates me.My favourite music is pop and rap but I can actually listen to a lot of genres of music.I also like different sports such as soccer and rugby but my favourite sport that I was doing is boxing which I was doing for two years which I was actually really enjoying but I had to quit doing boxing because I faced my Leaving Cert exams and I didn’t have enough time for study and sport.I also love watching movies my favourite genres of movies are Adventures,Western,Crime,Horror and Comedy the most recent what I watched was Money Heist series it’s a criminal mastermind who goes by the professor which has a plan to pull off the biggest heist in recorded history to print billions of euros.And the Elite is about student life and problems they were facing.I also like listening to online recorded audiobooks the most recent one that I did was ''Extreme time management" which is about managing time, leadership and achieving success in life and business.Thanks for reading my intro!

    Hi Roman, your intro is interesting and I think it is a good way for us all to learn about each other since we can't get to know each other is person with the whole Covid. It would be better if you could add some photos and paragraphs so it would be easier to read. It sucks when you have to quit something you enjoy doing due to lack of time. You should try boxing again.

    Hi Roman! I really enjoyed reading your introduction post! It's cool how you can learn things about a person through one blog post! I can somewhat agree about the bad summer! for some it was good and for others it was terrible! I hope covid calms down too because online college ain't it! Pop and rap are also my favourites but I love R&B/soul ( Pop Smoke, Ella Mai and Kehlani ). You seem like a very outgoing and easy-going person! Best of luck this semester!

    Hi Roman Your Introduction is very interesting I never knew you were originally from Ukraine what is it like there I have never been. I found the end of last semester difficult too with trying to do assignments over lockdown it feels like normal now. Good luck with this semester!

    Hi Roman,
    I think everyone is with you in saying that the end of the second semester was a struggle once corona hit, purely because we lost access to so much of our learning resources, and the end of year projects became more difficult because of it.
    I have yet to watch Money Heist but i've heard good things would you recommend it?

    Hi, Roman!!
    I really like pop too and I also can listen to other genres of music.
    Oh no! Leaving Cert really did interrupt our extra activities. I used to dance ballet and one of the reasons I stopped dancing was because I had to focus on the studies (especially because it was my fisrt year in Ireland and I was doing 5th year so my English ~had to~ improve very quickly).

    Hi Roman! Covid-19 hit us all and I really miss the college atmosphere, hopefully everything dies down in a year or two and we are able to do things normally again. I love rap as well, I listen to so many different genres that I can't keep up with my music myself. Money Heist and Elite are really good shows, I finished them over the summer! - Anna Zurawska

    Hi Roman, nice introduction post, Covid - 19 definitely made life hard for everyone and the end of the last semester was really tough. We still have another while left of it that’s for sure but let’s just hope we're all back on campus by this time next year. I also love to listen to rap, its definitely my favorite genre of music.     Hi Roman,

    I really enjoyed reading your blog! I agree that working remotely from home is difficult. It took me awhile to adapt to working from home, but we eventually got through it. My favourite genres of music are also pop and rap. I also love football (soccer), I actually played in secondary school and had to quit due to the leaving cert too, what team do you support? I’m curious. I also binge watched Money Heist over the summer (finished it in like 3 or 4 days) its very good! Goodluck with the rest of the semester!

    Hey Roman, I really enjoyed reading your introduction post. Like yourself Summer 2020 was awful - all the time in the world but with nowhere to go. I keep meaning to watch Money Heist but I'm so bad for using my phone when watching a subtitled movie/series and I always end up zoning out.     I also found the end of semester two difficult, I'm actually still struggling with doing college online. I also love listening to music I find it also helps me concentrate. Ive heard money heist is great but I don't really like dubbed shows I find it too hard to watch. I hope you enjoyed this semester!

"Game Design"

 Today I read an article about games and what they are and what is involved in creating a game. I read a paper called "What is a Game Anyway" by Ian Schreiber which I found very interesting because he explains about games and that they are very similar to each other every game has a story, goals ,rules and different outcomes.Before reading this article I had a very little idea  how ill be creating my own game but as Schreiber said "Choose your own adventure book" which means create your own story and make it as confusing as you want and  be yourself , be creative even at the end of his article he says grab a pen and lets create a game which also shows us that we should overcome our fears and just be creative and try our best I don't be afraid to create a game just because you never did it before I think that was a great example which involved a person to try  make a game with a pen on the paper and overcome the fear of something that is impossible to create Link
